【內容簡介】：愛德華和他的弟弟艾爾凡斯十分思念在他們還小的時候亡故的母親，為了再次見到母親的微笑，而進行了鍊金術中最大的禁忌——人體鍊成，一種將死者復活的鍊成術。可是因為鍊成時的反彈效應，愛德華失去了左腿，艾爾則失去了全身。為了換回弟弟，愛德華犧牲自己的右臂作為代價將弟弟的靈魂鍊成，並將其靈魂固定在一副鎧甲上。從此愛德華和艾爾凡斯為了取回他們所失去的一切，開始踏上了找回自己身體的旅程。愛德華失去的右臂和左腿由鋼製義肢「機械鎧」來替代，因此大總統給予「鋼」的稱號，而人們就稱他為「鋼之鍊金術師」。 -4ry)isYx
