簡介：
施世綸在八歲那年，母親帶施探親，施卻突然失蹤，三日後才返，卻如撞邪般，變得呆滯木訥，三日內遇過的事全部失憶，左手更折斷，從此無力提物。
娥內疚自己對施的疏忽照顧，在施成長中，萬事替他安排妥當，這種過份關愛卻令施養成「凡事不用腦」的習慣，本來聰明的施，卻因疏於思考及被過度保護，反令腦袋欠缺訓練，潛藏的智慧一直被埋沒。
施自那次失蹤後，連讀書也有障礙，其母娥早知施難循正途入仕，只能捐官令施當上縣官，也算向祖宗有個交代。施背後有娥以錢通神，聘來古惑師爺協助，每每閃電破案，本來自卑的施逐步回復自信，自以為是一流好官，老婆們亦仰慕崇拜。施又到江都縣上任，以為與娘親及三個老婆又是繼續過著渡假式生活，怎料卻遇上連番奇案！
